Does your skin need maximum protection? Look no further, you will love my Cold Cream.

What is my cold cream?

This aroma-cosmetic face care is an emulsion of hydrosol and vegetable oils, based on beeswax. The invention of this cream is attributed to a Greek doctor of the 2nd century AD, Galen, healer of the Roman emperors. It is called Ceratum Galeni in pharmacies. In France, this recipe is still known as Cérat de Galien ("Galen's Wax").

In 2007, the "Galen's Wax" was presented in the French Pharmacopeia national formulary with the following composition:

  • White beeswax: 13.00 g
  • Refined almond oil: 53.50 g
  • Borax: 0.50 g
  • Rose flavored water: 33.00 g

Many variations of this formula have been in use for nearly 2000 years. I also chose to adapt my recipe. I replaced the borax preservative with vitamin E and grapefruit seed extract because I prefer to use plant-based ingredients, rather than mineral ones. I chose jojoba and hemp oils, as they are good for all skin types, in particular dry and mature skin. And I substituted the rose floral water with neroli water, because the latter is more suitable for all skin types, especially sensitive skin.

So, my cold cream will nourish, hydrate and protect your skin. Its subtle and natural fragrance will transport you to the heart of a blossoming orange grove. It will help cell regeneration and can also soothe sensitive skin and tone mature skin.

How to use my cold cream?

The important thing is to always apply your care to clean skin. I recommend a gentle cleansing with Cleansing Water or simply with a Facial Toner Mist. Once your skin is cleansed, apply the cold cream, if necessary, to the entire face and neck.

MY TIP: Think about massages!!! This will influence the elimination of toxins, stimulating blood and lymphatic circulation. Take the time to massage your face when applying your skincare, with light movements up and down and from the inside to the outside of the face

Face Care Application

How often should I use my cold cream? How much should I use it?

These are difficult questions because your skin is unique. Granted, our skins are biologically the same, but our environment, mood, sleep, and lifestyle make each of us have unique skin with unique needs.

And its needs change... depending on the season, your menstrual cycle, etc! Generally, cold cream is used in the cold season and preferably at night. But, personally, to take care of my sensitive skin with an oily tendency, I use my personalized cold cream every morning, all year round... So choose your care according to your skin and your preferences.

This is why my answer is to experiment with different amounts and frequencies to find the one that works best for you at the moment.

Feel your skin and adapt to its needs!

MY TIP: Take advantage of the cream that remains on your hands to nourish and massage them, not forgetting the cuticles!

I designed this formula to benefit all ages and all skin types.
